Prof. Dr. Kentaro Murakami is an Assistant Professor
at the Department of Social and Preventive Epidemiology, School of Public Health,
University of Tokyo (Tokyo, Japan). He received his Bachelor’s degree in
Education from Hokkaido University in March 2003, his Master’s degree in Food
and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Shizuoka in March 2005, and his
PhD degree from the University of Shizuoka in July 2009. Prof. Dr. Murakami
served as an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health, University of
Tokyo from September 2007 to October 2012, as a Research Associate at the
Northern Ireland Centre for Food and Health (NICHE) from February 2012 to
February 2014, as an Associate Professor at Department of Nutrition, School of
Human Cultures, University of Shiga Prefecture from April 2014 to July 2016.
His main research interests include nutritional epidemiology, dietary assessment,
dietary habits, meal and snack eating patterns, glycaemic index, energy density,
and obesity.

Prof. Dr. Kentaro Murakami is an Assistant Professor
