Aakash Ahamed is a remote sensing scientist focused on applying sensor data acquired from phones, drones, planes, and satellites to solve problems in water resources, agriculture, natural hazards, and energy. He is currently the CTO and co-founder of Working Trees, a startup focused on leveraging data from mobile phones and satellites to accurately quantify woody biomass carbon, which enables cost incentives for climate-smart practices. He was previously a research support scientist in the hydrological sciences lab at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and has been an early employee at startups focused on remote sensing of water and agriculture. He recently completed his Ph.D. in Geophysics at Stanford University.
