My main research area is antibiotic residues and resistance in the environment and assessing its potential human health risks. My research has two focus: Investigating the occurrence, pathways and drivers of antibiotic residues and resistance in various environmental compartments, and assessing potential human health risks of exposure to antibiotics via drinking water and vegetables in terms of toxicological effects, disrupting intestinal microbiota and resistance development.
