In recent years, the importance of advanced manufacturing in the innovation and sustainability of nations and regions has been demonstrated. Several studies have highlighted the need to maintain and build an advanced manufacturing-enterprise-innovation ecosystem (AMEIE). Thus, in this paper, the symbiosis-evolution model of AMEIE is established according to ecological theory. On the basis of analyzing the evolution equilibrium and its stability conditions, different symbiosis-evolution scenarios were examined through a computer simulation. The results showed the following; (1) AMEIE is a complex system composed of advanced manufacturing enterprises, new-generation information-technology enterprises, and innovation-service organizations that create value cooperatively around resource acquisition and innovation interaction in a given symbiotic environment; (2) in this innovation ecosystem, symbiosis-evolution results depend on the symbiotic coefficient between the subjects; (3) the synergy of the subjects can be maximized in mutualism symbiosis evolution, while system members should strive to switch from parasitic symbiosis evolution or partial symbiosis evolution to mutualism symbiosis evolution. Therefore, countermeasures and suggestions are proposed, such as balancing the dynamics of population symbiosis evolution, optimizing the symbiotic environment, and formulating and improving efficient collaborative innovation mechanisms, which can provide theoretical support to the promotion of the evolution and development of AMEIE, along with mutualism symbiosis evolution.

A small size microstripline-fed linearly tapered slot antenna (LTSA) with the design of tilt grooves is presented in this paper. A parameter discussion of the grooves shows some important features affect the wide-band and wide-beam characteristic of the antenna. By adopting the tilt grooves, impedance bandwidth is increased and improved across a broad frequency band. The low frequency is largely improved compared with the identical LTSA without grooves. Measured results of the half-power beamwidth (HPBW) of the proposed antenna show an excellent characteristic of radiation pattern at the frequency of 7.5 GHz, 9 GHz and 11 GHz, which make it a good candidate for wide-scan phased arrays.

Efficient sequencing of processes and resource allocation are critical in production planning scenarios, such as manufacturing workshops and construction projects, to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. Resource allocation in such environments is often challenged by temporal constraints, process interdependencies, and resource limitations, which complicate scheduling and increase the risk of delays. This study presents a multi‐agent‐based simulation system to address these challenges. A scheduling optimisation model is developed to simulate and optimise resource allocation in complex processes with network structures and temporal constraints. The primary objective is to minimise production completion time while ensuring effective resource allocation. Additionally, an adaptive, partially distributed Agent‐Based Modelling and Simulation framework is proposed to simulate the execution logic of real‐world processes, integrating key factors such as resource limitations, process interdependencies, and real‐time decision‐making. A priority‐based genetic algorithm is also designed and embedded into the multi‐agent system to further optimise process sequencing and resource distribution. Simulation experiments across varying case scales validate the model and algorithm. This study highlights the potential of agent‐based simulation for solving complex engineering challenges and provides new insights for addressing resource allocation problems in network‐structured, time‐constrained environments.

Purpose: Based on dual information asymmetry, the two-stage segmented compensation mechanism for technological innovation of civilian enterprises’ participation in military (CEPIM) has been discussed.Design/methodology/approach: On the basis of the traditional principal-agent problems, the incentive compatibility condition is introduced as well as the hybrid incentive compensation model is established, to solve optimal solution of the compensation parameters under the dynamic contract condition and the validity is verified by numerical simulation.Findings: The results show that: (1) The two-stage segmented compensation mechanism has the functions of “self-selection” and “stimulus to the strong”, (2) It promotes the civilian enterprises to obtain more innovation benefit compensation through the second stage, (3) There is an inverted U-shaped relationship between government compensation effectiveness and the innovation ability of compensation objects and (4) The “compensable threshold” and “optimal compensation threshold” should be set, respectively, to assess the applicability and priority of compensation.Originality/value: In this paper, through numerical simulation, the optimal solution for two-stage segmented compensation, segmented compensation coefficient, expected returns for all parties and excess expected returns have been verified under various information asymmetry. The results show that the mechanism of two-stage segmented compensation can improve the expected returns for both civilian enterprises and the government. However, under dual information asymmetry, for innovation ability of the intended compensation candidates, a “compensation threshold” should be set to determine whether the compensation should be carried out, furthermore an “optimal compensation threshold” should be set to determine the compensation priority.
