Wai Lok Woo is a Professor at Northumbria University, and he received his BEng and MSc degrees
in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a PhD degree in Statistics and Machine Learning from
Newcastle University, UK. He is the recipient of the IEE Prize and the British Commonwealth
Scholarship. Prof Woo currently holds the Chair in Machine Learning at Northumbria University,
UK. He is the Faculty Postgraduate Research Director (Engineering and Environment) and Head of
the Research Cluster for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology. His major research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining, latent component analysis, and multidimensional signal and image processing.
