Prof. Elsa Pegado

Elsa Pegado is a sociologist and researcher at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology, and Assistant Professor of Sociology of Health and Extensive Research Methods at the School of Sociology and Public Policy (Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon). Her main research area is the sociology of health and illness, in which she has been especially focused on complementary and alternative medicine and on social practices and attitudes regarding pharmaceuticals and other therapeutic resources.
