Prof. Claudio Talora is a Full Professor (Professore Ordinario) specializing in Technical Sciences of Laboratory Medicine (SSD MED/46). He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Rome La Sapienza in 1995 and later completed a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology at the same university (1999–2001). His academic and research experience includes serving as a fellow at the Regina Elena Institute for Cancer Research (1996–1997), a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA (1999–2001), and a FIRC fellow at the Department of Experimental Medicine, University of Rome La Sapienza (2001–2005). He was an Associate Professor (Professore Associato) in General Pathology (SSD MED/04) from 2007 to 2020, and has held his current full professorship since 2020. His scientific research focuses on three core areas: the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying T lymphocyte transformation, the molecular signaling mechanisms of the Notch pathway, and the regulatory mechanisms governing proliferation and neoplastic transformation in epithelial cells.
