Vincenzo Canzonieri is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Trieste and an Adjunct Professor at Temple University in Philadelphia. He is also the Director of the Oncologic Pathology Department at the Centro di Riferimento Oncologico di Aviano. His research focuses on integrating morphopathological data with biopathological characterization of tumors for prognostic and predictive purposes. He is actively involved in the development and application of new digital pathology techniques, telepathology, and biobanking. He has led numerous oncology pathology research projects and international cooperation initiatives, funded by national and international public bodies and non-profit associations. He serves on the editorial board of several scientific journals and is a member of many national and international pathology societies. He also provides scientific consulting in the field of forensic medicine and is a member of the Regional Asbestos Commission of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
