After graduating with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Massey University, New Zealand, in 2001, Keren E Dittmer spent four years in large and small animal practice in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She returned to Massey University to undertake a PhD on inherited rickets in Corriedale sheep. She is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists and is currently a Professor of veterinary pathology, as well as team manager of pathobiology in the School of Veterinary Science at Massey University. Keren has a particular interest in skeletal pathology, vitamin D, and genetic diseases. Keren is the current president of the New Zealand Society for Veterinary Pathology.
