Dr. Diana Cristina Silva de Azevedo is now a full Professor at the Universidade Federal do Ceará. She graduated in Chemical
Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Ceará in 1990, she holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos in 1993 and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade do Porto in 2001. In 2012 and 2014, she was a Visiting Professor Ad honorem at the National University of San Luis, in Argentina. She has been head of the department, coordinator of the undergraduate course and the graduate program in Chemical Engineering at UFC, and vice-director of the Technology Center. She is a PQ-1A researcher at CNPq, with experience in Adsorption and Separation Processes,
working mainly on the following topics: development of adsorbents, fundamental measurements of adsorption and catalysis systems, storage/separation/purification of gases by adsorption and liquid phase separation processes based on preparative chromatography. She is the President of the Brazilian Society of Adsorption (BAS) and a member of the Board of Directors of FUNCAP (FAP of the state of Ceará).
