Prof. Dr. Karem Chokmani received his M.Sc. in agriculture engineering from Laval University (Quebec City), and his Ph.D. in geomatics from the same university. He is currently a Full Professor of remote sensing and statistical hydrology at the Center Eau Terre Environnement of the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS-ETE). He is also the co-founder of Geosapiens, a Canadian leader in flood risk modeling and management. His research interests combine in situ observation methods, statistical modeling, the synoptic quality of remote sensing data, and the spatial processing capacity of geomatic tools.
