Prof. Ali Muflah Alqahtany is a Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the College of Architecture and Planning, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Professor Alqahtani holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Urban Planning and Design from Cardiff University, United Kingdom, which he achieved in 2014. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Urban Renewal from Cardiff University, United Kingdom, in 2013, with Merit. Additionally, he earned a Master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, in 2010, with Merit. Furthermore, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and Design from King Saud University, College of Architecture and Planning, Department of Urban Planning, earned in 2008. He has held numerous administrative positions, participated in various committees, and published several scientific research papers in international academic journals. He has also received several awards and reviewed many research papers for international academic journals. Additionally, he has attended and participated in various conferences and scientific forums, as well as many training courses and workshops. Prof. Alqahtany focuses his research on sustainable development, urban sustainability, urban and regional planning, sustainable cities and urbanization, urban design, housing, and other areas related to the sustainability of the built environment.
