Jiaqi Wang is an Associate Professor at the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Shenzhen University, working in the fields of silicon photonics and fiber-optic sensing. Her research focuses on integrated photonic devices, on-chip spectroscopic sensing, waveguide-integrated photodetectors, and photonic bandgap structures for gas sensing applications. She received her B.S. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan, China) in 2012, and her Ph.D. degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016. Before joining Shenzhen University in 2017, she worked as a Senior Engineer at the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). Dr. Wang has published around 50 scientific papers in leading journals, including ACS Photonics, ACS Sensors, and Applied Physics Reviews. She also serves as a Research Topic Editor for the journal Optoelectronics (MDPI), guest-editing the Special Issue "Emerging Optoelectronic Techniques for Spectroscopic Sensing."
