Dr. Marcela Angela Mansilla received her PhD in Physics from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in 2012. She is a researcher from the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET)—Argentina in the National Institute of Industrial Technology (INTI). She also teaches mathematics in the first courses at the University of Buenos Aires. She began researching vulcanized rubber compounds, focusing on how final properties vary depending on the manufacturing process and crosslinking components. She worked on this topic for over a decade in academia (2005–2017). Then, once at INTI (2017–present), she continued studying rubber compounds in an interdisciplinary group. In this manner, she started working on developing sustainable composite materials like particleboards based on bioadhesives and revaluing agroindustrial scrap. Moreover, she has been researching composite materials with epoxy resin as a matrix. Dr. Mansilla has 20+ peer-reviewed publications. She has supervised one PhD thesis (finished) and is currently supervising two others.
