Dr. Hefei Liu is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University. He received his B.S. degree in Physics from Peking University, China, in 2015, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 2023. His research interests span nanoelectronics, materials science, and neuroscience. His work focuses on: Developing advanced neuromorphic computing devices based on two-dimensional (2D) materials and heterostructures, aiming to reduce computational complexity and power consumption; The development of semiconductor chips and neuron-machine interfaces for massively parallel, high-fidelity neural signal recording. Dr. Liu was named a Ming Hsieh Institute Scholar in 2021 and received the Annenberg Fellowship in 2017. Since 2018, he has served as a reviewer for Science Advances, Nano Letters, and Applied Physics A.
