Eujin Julia Kim is interested in unexpected phenomena/impacts happening where different forms/elements/disciplines meet such as architecture and landscape, ecology and infrastructure, technology and design. She has conducted research on brownfield remediation and regeneration and abandoned area reuse planning. She is also interested in multi-faceted experiences in complicated situations such as pollution, disaster, post-industrial areas, and new forms of parks. As a professor in the Department of Environmental Landscape Architecture, her most recent research focus is on climate adaptation, micro-climate and thermal comfort, and nature-based design solutions.
