Background: The world faces vast health challenges, and urban residents living in high-density areas have even greater demand for healthy lifestyles. Methods: Based on the data of points of interest, a field survey, and an interview, we explored the healthy community-life circle in the downtown area of Chengdu, China from two perspectives: objective measurement and subjective perception of residents. We evaluated the coverage rate and convenience in accessing eight types of health service facilities within a 15-min walk using linear and logistics regression models to explore the degree of resident satisfaction with facilities and influencing factors. Results: Results showed significant differences in coverage rates between different districts. The overall convenience in accessing health service facilities decreased gradually from the city center to the outskirts. The social environment, the layout of health service facilities, and residents’ travel habits were related to health service facility satisfaction. Results also showed significant differences in various facilities’ accessibility satisfaction between objective measurement and residents’ perception measurement. Compared with subjective measurement, the objective measurements of accessibility for sports venues (objectively measured average minus perceived average: −1.310), sports zones (−0.740), and specialized hospitals (−1.081) were lower; those for community hospitals (0.095), clinics (1.025), and pharmacies (0.765) were higher; and facility accessibility measured by subjective perception had a more significant impact on health facility satisfaction. Pharmacies (OR: 1.932) and community hospitals (OR: 1.751) had the largest impact among the eight types of facilities. Conclusion: This study proposed to construct a healthy community-life circle with a category and hierarchy system.
Urban riverfront spaces and associated riverine landscapes play important roles in promoting human-river interactions and shaping the regional characteristics of a city. This paper explored the urban riverfront space from the material level of the riverine landscape to a multi-dimensional cognitive level and constructed a theoretical exploration model of the influence of three cognitive dimensions (sensual cognition, intellectual cognition, and rational cognition) on the ‘sense of place’ (SOP) in urban riverfronts. In addition, the measurement scales for different cognitive dimensions were explored and designed. The structural equation model (SEM) was used to analyse 329 valid survey questionnaires in June 2019 in Dujiangyan Yihu Park, China. The analysis of the case study results showed that the overall theoretical model had a good model fit. The sensual cognition, intellectual cognition, and rational cognition all had a significant influence on the SOP in the riverfront park, of which the intellectual cognition had the most significant influence. Strengthening the creation of a riverine landscape for intellectual cognition is expected to enhance the SOP in riverfront spaces more effectively and achieve more enriched interactions between people and rivers.
In China, tourism development is a crucial approach to poverty alleviation. With the consolidation of poverty alleviation achievements and the promotion of rural revitalization, it is of great significance to explore the relationship between tourism development and poverty alleviation from the perspective of multidimensional poverty. Therefore, this study took 28 key assistance counties for rural revitalization in the Sichuan–Chongqing region (hereinafter referred to as “key counties”) as the research objects, introduced NPP-VIIRS nighttime light (NTL) data, and a coupling coordination degree (CCD) model to explore the coordination relationship and mechanism between them. The results showed that from 2015 to 2020, the tourism development index (TDI) and estimated comprehensive development index (ECDI) of the key counties increased by 112.57% and 115.12%, respectively. In addition, the spatial differences in tourism development and multidimensional poverty both showed a narrowing trend. According to the results of the CCD model, the key counties basically faced coordination obstacles in the early stage, which were mainly transformed into reluctant coordination and moderate coordination in the later stage. This indicated that tourism poverty alleviation showed a coordinated development trend overall. However, the study also found that there may not be synchronicity between tourism development and poverty alleviation and analyzed the mechanism of their interaction. Overall, the study confirmed the positive impact of tourism development on alleviating multidimensional poverty. In addition, the study found that measuring multidimensional poverty based on NTL data has a high accuracy and can provide support for poverty research. These research results have an important reference value for China to carry out sustainable tourism poverty alleviation and comprehensively promote rural revitalization.

Urban parks are increasingly recognized as key tourist and recreational environments that significantly enhance visitor experiences, satisfaction, and overall health. However, the complex interplay between multisensory stimuli, visitor behavior, and health outcomes remains poorly understood, limiting effective tourism and park management practices. This study introduces an innovative Public Participatory Geographic Information System (PPGIS)-based mixed-methods framework to systematically capture real-time sensory experiences and spatial behaviors of park visitors. Utilizing data collected from 598 surveyed and 60 geotracked visitors across diverse urban parks in Chengdu, China, we identify distinct sensory-behavioral pathways that directly and indirectly contribute to visitor health outcomes. Demographic differences such as age, gender, and education notably influenced visitor experiences and preferences. Specifically, landscape elements such as gentle slopes and bridges were closely linked to positive auditory experiences, whereas cultural activities corresponded strongly to features like artificial rockeries and potted plants. The findings not only enrich theoretical understanding of sensory interactions and visitor behaviors but also offer practical implications for sustainable tourism management, enabling park designers and policymakers to enhance visitor satisfaction and public health through evidence-based spatial interventions.

The soil exists in the vast countryside. Rammed earth materials are an important part of the growth process of rural dwellings. With the emergence of the homogenization of architectural style and the lack of cultural atmosphere of rural characteristics in the construction of beautiful countryside, the development and application of modern rammed earth materials will help the future construction of rural communities. Taking rammed earth dwelling houses in Sichuan as the research object, this paper constructs the livability evaluation system of rammed earth community, analyses the evaluation of residents’ satisfaction, and thus obtains the optimization strategy of modern rammed earth dwelling houses. From the theoretical perspective of "Ternary mutualism", the relationship between modern rammed earth materials and rural communities is mutually beneficial, that is, modern rammed earth materials are the natural foundation, charm display window and practice platform of rural communities, and rural communities are the embodiment of the value of modern rammed earth materials, protection continuation and multiple innovation. Based on this, the construction path of modern rammed earth materials in rural communities is proposed, in order to provide reference for the construction of rural communities using modern rammed earth materials. The research results show that modern rammed earth material, as a unique construction material, is conducive to the construction of rural communities in harmony with the natural ecological environment of the local landscape, and plays a role in the protection and inheritance of local culture.
