Data fusion can reduce the data communication time between sensor nodes, reduce energy consumption, and prolong the lifetime of the network, making it an important research focus in the field of heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (HWSNs). Normal sensor nodes are susceptible to external environmental interferences, which affect the measurement results. In addition, raw data contain redundant information. The transmission of redundant information consumes excess energy, thereby reducing the lifetime of the network. We propose a data fusion method based on an extreme learning machine optimized by particle swarm optimization for HWSNs. The spatiotemporal correlation between the data of the HWSNs is determined, and the extreme learning machine method is used to process the data collected by the sensor nodes in the hierarchical routing structure of the HWSN. The particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to optimize the input weight matrix and the hidden layer bias of the extreme learning machine. An output weight matrix is created to reduce the number of hidden layer nodes and improve the generalization ability of the model. The data fusion model fuses the original data collected by the sensor nodes. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm reduces network energy consumption and improves the lifetime of the network, the efficiency of data fusion, and the reliability of data transmission compared with other data fusion methods.

In this paper, the structure and the working principle of an existing linear potentiometer sensor are introduced; furthermore, the structure and circuit connection method of a new linear bipotentiometer sensor is proposed. The sensitivity, step error, and load characteristics of the existing potentiometer sensor and the linear bipotentiometer sensor are both studied and compared. The simulation results of their static characteristics show that the sensitivity of the linear bipotentiometer sensor is increased, the relative load error is greatly reduced, and the linearity is improved. Meanwhile, the measurement accuracy of the linear bipotentiometer sensor is effectively improved.

The advancement of mobile robot technology has made path planning a necessary condition for autonomous navigation, but traditional algorithms have issues with efficiency and reliability in dynamic and unstructured environments. This study proposes a Dynamic Hybrid A* (DHA*)–Adaptive Dynamic Window Approach (ADA-DWA) fusion algorithm for efficient and reliable path planning in dynamic unstructured environments. This paper improves the A* algorithm by introducing a dynamic hybrid heuristic function, optimizing the selection of key nodes, and enhancing the neighborhood search strategy, and collaboratively optimizes the search efficiency and path smoothness through curvature optimization. On this basis, the local planning layer introduces a self-adjusting weight-adaptive system in the DWA framework to dynamically optimize the speed, sampling distribution, and trajectory evaluation metrics, achieving a balance between obstacle avoidance and environmental adaptability. The proposed fusion algorithm’s comprehensive advantages over traditional methods in key operational indicators, including path optimality, computational efficiency, and obstacle avoidance capability, have been widely verified through numerical simulations and physical platforms. This method successfully resolves the inherent trade-off between efficiency and reliability in complex robot navigation scenarios, providing enhanced operational robustness for practical applications ranging from industrial logistics to field robots.

In this paper, we report an automatic system which combines machine design and machine vision to promote the automatic lead sheet roll production. In terms of the key problem identifying and locating millimetre-level slit in motion, the rotating module and the slit recognition module are designed based on the geometric characteristics of the lead sheet roll hub, and machine vision technology is used to extract the features of slit images. The automatic system enhances the production efficiency of lead sheet roll by nearly 8 times and lowers the production cost.
