In recent years, IoT has opened new opportunities for the development of various industries to improve people’s lives. Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) uses IoT applications for secure communication among the vehicles and to improve the road safety and traffic management. In VANETS, the authentication of the vehicular access control is a crucial security service for both inter-vehicle and vehicle-roadside unit communications. Another criteria is that all the messages should be unaltered in delivery. Meanwhile, vehicles have to be prevented from the misuse of the private information and the attacks on their privacy. Also, limited bandwidth, high mobility, scalability are few other challenges in VANETS. Number of research works focusing on providing the anonymous authentication with preserved privacy and security in VANETS. In this paper, we proposed a new certificateless aggregate signature based authentication scheme for VANETS. Our scheme avoids the complex certificate management problem from public key infrastructure and key escrow problem from Identity-based framework. Also aggregate signature aggregates various individual signatures on different messages from different vehicles into a single signature, which in turn results the reduction of verification time and storage space at Road Side Unit. Our scheme can prevent malicious vehicles from disrupting the security features of VANETS. Moreover, our scheme does not use the pairing operation which is the most expensive operation than other operations in modern cryptography. Thus the proposed scheme significantly reduces the computation overhead. Security and performance analysis shows that our scheme is more secure and efficient than the existing schemes.

Recent advancements in wireless communication technologies have led to the development of practical applications such as infrastructure monitoring, earthquake monitoring, environment monitoring, remote healthcare monitoring etc. In these applications, we may integrate the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) with Internet of Things (IoT), where sensor nodes join the internet dynamically and use it to collaborate and accomplish their tasks. In e-healthcare system, wireless medical sensor nodes continuously monitor and collect the physiological information and transmit the same to healthcare professionals through IoT terminals. To overcome the limitations in communication and computational capabilities in sensors and to attain privacy in healthcare wireless medical sensor networks (HWMSNs), few signature schemes were proposed in literature. However most of these schemes are insecure against various attacks. Hence to ensure privacy and security in medical data, in this paper, we proposed an efficient pairing-free aggregate signature scheme for HWMSNs in certificateless system. We exploit aggregation technique in certificateless system without using pairings to reduce computational complexity and transmission overhead in transferring the data. Our scheme achieves full aggregation to improve communicational efficiency and performance analysis shows that the proposed scheme is more efficient.

The continuous progress of wireless communication technology provides intelligent and efficient transportation system through Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETS) to mitigate traffic jams and road fatalities, which improves safety of passengers and traffic flow. Many researchers, vehicle manufacturers and telecommunication industries are working on VANETS to construct next generation transport system. In VANETS, vehicles, equipped with wireless devices, exchanges the traffic related information with other vehicles and the fixed Road Side Units (RSUs). The information shared between vehicles and RSUs in VANETS must be secure. For secure communications in VANETS, many cryptographic schemes were proposed in different settings and most of the schemes are using bilinear pairings over elliptic curves. But the computation of a bilinear pairing is very expensive. Also the verification of signatures/messages sent by vehicles increases the computational workload on RSUs. In order to improve computational efficiency and transmission overhead, in this paper, we present an efficient pairing-free certificateless authentication scheme with batch verification for VANETS. We designed the scheme in pairing free environment which improves the communication and computational efficiency. The proposed scheme supports batch verification, which significantly reduces the computational workload on RSUs in VANETS. The proposed scheme is proven secure in the random oracle model and meets the security requirements such as authenticity, integrity, traceability, anonymity, revocation. We compared our scheme with well known existing schemes and efficiency analysis shows that the proposed scheme is more efficient.

With the development of wireless communication technology, many network systems are interconnected with large number of smart devices and internet to gather and share electronic data. Due to its open nature, the data transmitted over public networks. Thus ensuring privacy and data security are of great importance. Also computing power, storage and bandwidth requirements are the main constraints in the development of many applications. To resolve these security and efficiency issues, this paper presents an efficient pairing free certificateless signature scheme. This scheme is proven secure and unforgeable. Finally, the comparative analysis shows the efficiency of our scheme.

Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) is an emerging air traffic surveillance technology which overcomes the limitations of today's radar technology and enhances the air traffic control. To provide authenticity, integrity in ADS-B and to improve the computation and communication efficiency, in this paper, we propose a new efficient and secure Pairing-Free ADS-B Authentication scheme with Batch Verification in ID-based framework. The proposed scheme is proven secure and is more efficient than the existing schemes.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) combines several smart devices which communicate continuously with each other via the Internet, to reshape the traditional industrial process and to enable faster production and optimize processes, by monitoring machine status, environment, and data management from the crowdsourced industrial devices. Industry 4.0 is accelerated with modern computing platforms and communication technologies. The storage and data movement over the network is often exposed to many security and efficiency challenges due to the interconnections of millions of smart devices across the globe and the fact that these smart/constrained devices have limited power. The cryptographic algorithms provide a solution for the privacy concerns in the IIoT network in terms of authentication and data integrity to data transmission across the network. However, the traditional cryptographic approaches are complex in nature require high computational costs and are time consuming. Hence, dedicated cost-effective lightweight and cryptographic algorithms are in high demand and are essential. This article intends to develop a new lightweight and secure aggregate signcryption scheme for crowdsourced industrial data using certificateless cryptography. This scheme effectively reduces computational cost and time consumption. In addition, this scheme avoids the key-escrow problem and achieves stronger security properties. Finally, we evaluate our pairing-free CL-based aggregate signcryption scheme’s performance and will compare results with recent state-of-the-art schemes.
