The rise of social networking sites (SNS) has changed our ways of communicating and conducting business all over the world. The present study explored the factors affecting the pervasive adoption of SNS by employing the use and gratification theory in considering their entertainment value, social influence, process of compliance, internalization, identification, and trust to investigate the sustainability of intentions to use SNS. This study also focused on the mediating effect of the relationship between trust and intentions to use SNS through users’ attitudes which were significantly correlated with positive responses towards intention. Responses were gathered through a questionnaire survey, and PLS-SEM was used for the analysis of data. Seven out of eight hypotheses were supported and meaningful information was obtained in this study, which operators and designers can use as a guide for the development of sustainable SNS.

An individual’s behavior can be determined by the personality traits they possess, which are a description of a set of characteristics that are unique to the individual. Previous analyses have indicated that the Big-5 personality traits (openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism) predict the likelihood of intention, creation, and success in business ventures (Brandstätter, 2011), while narrow personality traits such as Extraversion and Conscientiousness have also been found to predict the entrepreneurial success more precisely (Rauch & Frese, 2007). This study aimed at finding out if 518 Kenyans possessed the right personality traits that would determine their E-entrepreneurship success or failure in online business ventures. The study also sorts to make a difference by merging the Big-5 personal traits with self-efficacy, Need for achievement, and Locus of control. To analyze the relationship between personality traits, entrepreneur success, and online business ventures in the Kenyan context, data was analyzed quantitatively through descriptive and inferential analysis with the sample population from Kenyan international students in The People’s Republic of China. The results indicate that majority of the students have a high score in openness to experience, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, Locus of control, and Self-efficacy.

Social networking sites (SNS) have emerged as a popular and convenient tool for connecting with different groups of people on a specific platform. This study examines the effect of social influence processes and psychological factors on the behavior of students’ pervasive adoption of SNS. Data were collected through a survey questionnaire. Partial least square was used for data analysis. Findings reveal that privacy, identification, and internalization ensure significant association with the intention to use SNS, ultimately has a positive effect on the pervasive adoption of SNS and so does gender. However, men were found to be less aware of privacy issues.

Festivals are the most viable source of tourism promotion and provide recognition to different cultures and communities. This paper proposed and examined a holistic model of festival word of mouth (WOM), which is influenced by authenticity, promotion, loyalty, quality, and satisfaction. Accordingly, the current paper investigated the effect of the proposed model with reference to Lok Virsa handicrafts, the most famous festival of the Islamabad region in Pakistan. The findings revealed that the festival quality has direct impact on WOM and promotion. Promotion has a positive influence on loyalty, satisfaction, and WOM. Festival authenticity strongly influences promotion, quality, satisfaction, and WOM. Festival satisfaction is positively related to WOM and loyalty. Whereas, festival loyalty and WOM are significantly associated. The results suggest that festival organizers should deliver the claims and promises in the festival that they have made with tourists. This technique will harvest positive WOM and increase tourist re-visitation to upcoming festivals.

Considering the increasing importance of user experience and the influence of gamification techniques in the online business environment. This research explores the antecedents and outcomes of user experience in the context of website features. We proposed a multimediation conceptual framework integrating several constructs to test the user response about online gamification. This study used PLS‐SEM to measure the direct and mediating relationship among hedonic features and utilitarian features user experience, monetary value, experiential value, satisfaction, and behavioral consequences in the online gamification environment. The findings indicate that hedonic features and utilitarian features directly affect user experience, further influencing user satisfaction, intention to use, and recommendation. Moreover, experiential value and monetary value also have a significant effect on user experience and user satisfaction. The study also confirmed the mediating effect of user experience, monetary value, experiential, and user satisfaction. Hence, this study’s results can help web managers provide users’ memorable experiences of using such gamification websites, which in turn increase their satisfaction and arouse expected behavioral intentions.

The purpose of the current research was to analyze the impact of biopsychosocial indicators on the financial risk tolerance (FRT) and financial satisfaction along with the mediating role of macroeconomic literacy in these associations. For this purpose, three indicators names as “personality type, self-esteem, and sensation seeking” were used to check the impact of biopsychosocial indicators on FRT and financial satisfaction. The current study was conducted in China where the data was collected from retail investors through structured questionnaire. The purposive sampling technique was used to decide the sample from the population. The data were collected from 1134 retail investors and SPSS and AMOS were used to analyze the data by applying SEM. Findings of the current study revealed that the personality, self-esteem and sensation seeking have significant influences on FRT. It has been further found that the personality type and self-esteem have significant influences on the financial satisfaction. Results further confirmed the mediating role of macroeconomic literacy between self-esteem and FRT, personality type and FRT, self-esteem and financial satisfaction, and personality type and financial satisfaction. However, no significant mediating role of macroeconomic literacy was found between sensation seeking and FRT, and sensation seeking and financial satisfaction. The current study and findings will be of great importance for theory and practice regarding financial/investment decision making and FRT.
