Dr. Weishu Gong is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Geographical Sciences, University of Maryland. She completed her Ph.D. in Geographical Sciences at the University of Maryland and her M.Sc. in Geodetic Science at Ohio State University. Her doctoral dissertation, completed in 2021, is titled "Fine Resolution Assessment of the Carbon Fluxes from Contemporary Forest Dynamics". Her research interests include remote sensing, forest disturbance, carbon budget modeling, and land use/land cover change.
