As a Senior Research and Technology Associate with over a decade of experience in the field of materials engineering, I have developed a deep understanding of sustainable and biobased materials and their potential for product innovation. In my current role, I lead and conduct research in this area, develop research proposals for funding, supervise and train research teams, and collaborate with colleagues from different departments and international consortia. I am also a Senior Lecturer, where I review current research trends in material science, develop research proposals and strategies, and teach engaging course material to undergraduate and postgraduate students. With a PhD in Materials Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Tertiary Education, I have a passion for education and am committed to establishing better and safer working and studying conditions. My experience in research and academia has allowed me to develop excellent communication skills, enabling me to present complex research findings in a way that is accessible and understandable to both experts and non-experts. I have a diverse set of skills, including knowledge in polymers, composites, microscopy, and characterization, as well as proficiency in Matlab. Overall, I am a dedicated researcher and educator with a passion for sustainable materials and product development, and am committed to making a positive impact in the field.
