Biography

My research and academic interests focus on advancing sustainability through the principles of the circular economy and the green economy, with a strong emphasis on waste-to-resource strategies and wastewater treatment. I investigate innovative approaches for converting waste streams, including industrial and municipal waste, into valuable resources, contributing to both environmental protection and economic development. A central aspect of my work is the design and application of environmental functional materials for efficient pollutant removal, resource recovery, and process optimization in wastewater treatment systems. I am particularly interested in low-cost, eco-friendly materials derived from renewable or waste sources, aligning with circular economy principles by closing material loops. My research integrates technological innovation with sustainability objectives, promoting energy efficiency, pollution reduction, and resilient environmental systems. By bridging fundamental research, applied solutions, and policy-relevant insights, my work contributes to the development of sustainable, circular, and resource-efficient environmental practices, supporting the transition toward a green economy and a more sustainable future.
