Xinyang Wang is one of the leading Chinese professors at Peking University, who has a worldwide fame in the field of epitaxial growth technology and research on the properties of wide-gap III-N semiconductor compounds. X. Wang has been working since 2008 at the State Key Laboratory of Artificial Microstructures and of Mesoscopic Physics from the Faculty of Physics of Peking University.
In this laboratory, Prof. X. Wang is currently the head of the group of Molecular Beam Epitaxy of Wide Gap Semiconductors, which is engaged in the research and development of light-emitting devices in a wide spectral range from IR to deep UV, single photon sources, resonant tunneling diodes, etc. In 2012, he received the China National Foundation's Distinguished Young Scientist Award, and in 2014, the Ministry of Education awarded him the title of Changjiang Distinguished Professor.
