Prof. Yahua Chen received his B.S. degree from the Department of Agronomy, Nanjing Agricultural University in 1992, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Nanjing Agricultural University in 1998 and 2006, respectively. He was a research assistant at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (2001–2022), a visiting scholar at the University of California, SAN DIEGO (2004.3–2004.9), and a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Tokyo, Japan (2008–2010). He is currently a scientist of "National Modern Agricultural Technology System-Sweetpotato System-Control and Remediation of Environmental Pollution in Soil and Producing Areas", Deputy Director of the Committee of Phytoremediation Biology of the Chinese Society of Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology, and an adjunct professor at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He focuses on environmental pollutant control and remediation, and plant-microbe interactions.
