Prof. Yanyan Chen currently works as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Beijing Key Laboratory of Traffic Engineering, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing, China. She obtained a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree from the Department of Industrial and Civil Architecture and a Ph.D. from the School of Civil Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology. She was a visiting scholar engaged in research on navigation route optimization algorithms based on traffic reliability at Imperial College London. Her research directions are traffic big data, traffic planning and management, intelligent transportation, system simulation, road network optimization, traffic energy conservation and emission reduction, etc.
