Bouwien Smits-Engelsman, MSc, PhD, is a Professor at the department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences of the university of Cape Town and at the Faculty of Health Science, North-West university. She is an expert in neurodevelopment and neuromotor rehabilitation in children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as developmental coordination disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and also in children with cerebral palsy and genetic syndromes.
