Thomas Mütze is a group leader in recycling. He earned his degree in process engineering (with a specialisation in particle technology) at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Dipl. Ing. 2004) and his Ph.D. at the Institute for Mechanical Process Engineering and Processing Technology at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Dr.-Ing. 2011). His teaching assignments include the lecture Fundamentals and Processes of Mechanical Process Engineering and the conception and coordination of the continuing education programme Comminution of Minerals. His research interests include high-pressure comminution; grinding circuits, and the deformation and flow behaviour of bulk materials. He is a member of the editorial advisory board of the journal Minerals and an appointed member of the ProcessNet specialist group for comminution/classification.
