Tool based mechanical micromachining technology is gaining importance in MEMS device fabrication because of its ability to machine 3D micro features on different engineering materials. This paper presents the development of tool based mechanical micromachining center with piezoactuated workpiece feeding system. A high speed spindle is used to rotate the micromilling/drilling tool at a speed of 12,000 to 60,000 rpm. A thermoelectric based liquid cooling system is developed to control the temperature of the high speed spindle at a set value. Along with the X-Y positioning system, the workpiece is also mounted on a piezoactuator to provide Z-axis motion during machining operation. An electrical continuity based tool-workpiece contact detection system is developed to overcome premature tool failure during initial tool registration with the workpiece. Based on the developed tool-workpiece contact sensor, an in-situ measurement system is developed to measure the micromachining depth. Experiments were conducted to measure the performance of spindle cooling system and in-situ measurement system.

This paper describes the development of an autonomous fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system designed for linear area monitoring and precise payload distribution. The proposed system can be implemented in border surveillance, precision agriculture, and disaster response scenarios by integrating a servo-based payload drop mechanism, GPS waypoint navigation, and real-time image capture. It is ideal for long-distance missions due to its fixed-wing configuration, allowing longer flying times. Post-flight, to create panoramic picture mosaics, recorded videos are processed using computer vision techniques, namely Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) and homography methods. The ground evaluations verified the UAV's capacity to fly steadily, deliver payloads precisely, and process images. Consequently, it demonstrated for the first time in a lightweight, low-cost fixed-wing platform, the integration of fully autonomous waypoint-guided payload delivery and image-based linear surveillance within a single mission. This dual-function capability, validated through real-world flight tests and panoramic mapping, offers a scalable solution for fast deployment in disaster relief, border security, and precision agriculture.

Developing a wound strength measuring device for experimental animals involves a multidisciplinary approach that combines engineering, biology, and veterinary medicine. Such a device would help researchers assess the healing progress and strength of wounds in animals, enabling a better understanding of tissue regeneration and wound healing mechanisms. In this paper, We designed a mice holder along with a full experimental setup to apply load and measure the displacement automatically. Also, we carried out an experiment to measure load versus displacement.

This study introduces Anisa, an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) companion designed to enhance elderly care by addressing the multifaceted needs and challenges of older adults. The system integrates the Llama 3.2 model, powered by Groq, to facilitate context-aware dialogues and empathetic interactions. This capability helps alleviate loneliness and provides essential companionship. Agenda.js is used for scheduling and managing reminders, ensuring timely notifications for medications and appointments. Additionally, Twilio enables emergency alerts when distress signals are detected. Anisa promotes physical activity, tracks daily routines, and generates activity reports shared with caregivers and healthcare providers. Expo CLI implements step-tracking and document-sharing features. By integrating these functionalities, Anisa improves the quality of life for seniors, eases caregiver responsibilities, and fosters a safer, more supportive environment.
