Assist. Prof. Beata Feledyn-Szewczyk has 20 years of experience in agricultural and environmental science, with a special focus on farming systems and biodiversity. At present, she is a researcher at the Department of Systems and Economics of Crop Production at the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation—State Research Institute in Puławy, Poland. Her scientific interests are focused on the influence of agriculture on the environment, common agricultural policy (CAP), farmland biodiversity conservation, organic farming, and ecosystem services assessment. She has participated in many research projects, including projects under EU 7th FP: PROFICIENCY (2009-2013), LEGUME FUTURES (2010-2014), and OSCAR (2012-2016). She is the vice coordinator of the “Protection of species diversity of valuable natural habitats on agricultural lands on Natura 2000 areas in the Lublin Voivodeship” project, realized within the Swiss–Polish Cooperation Programme (2011-2017). She has held internships in foreign scientific institutions in Switzerland and Slovakia. She has participated as an expert in the assessment of the impact of the Polish Rural Development Programme (RDP) (2007–2022) on the environment. She is an expert at the Polish National Centre for Research and Development.
