Professor Yu-Chi Wu earned his Electrical Engineering Diploma in 1984 from the National Kaohsiung Institute of Technology, Taiwan, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1993 from the Georgia Institute of Technology, U.S.A. His industrial experience includes working with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) from 1989 to 1990, GM/EDS/Energy Management Associates (EMA) from 1992 to 1993, and GM/EDS/China Management Systems (CMS) from 1994 to 1995, focusing on the development and study of Energy Management System (EMS) applications and power system planning. In 1994, he joined the Lien-Ho Institute of Technology and Commerce, which later became the National United University, Taiwan. He has held various positions there, including Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Library Director, Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Vice-President. He was a visiting scholar at the Alexandria Research Institute, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, U.S.A., at the University of New South Wales, Australia, and at the University of Texas at Austin, U.S.A. He is a professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National United University. His research interests are the operations of power systems and microgrids, optimization algorithms, wind generators, pulley motors, mobile health management, IOT, and energy-saving technology. Professor Wu is a senior member of IEEE.
