Konstantin N. Mikhelson graduated from Leningrad State University (M.Sc.) in 1975. He received his Ph.D. in physical chemistry (1982) from Leningrad State University and D.Sc. in electrochemistry (2003) from St. Petersburg State University. His research interests refer to chemical sensors, in particular to electrochemical and optical sensors based on ionophores, to computer simulations of the sensor response, and to the electrochemistry of liquid/liquid interfaces. He is a member of the International Society of Electrochemistry.
