Mattia Bellan is an internal medicine doctor and attending a Ph.D. program at the Università del Piemonte Orientale UPO, Novara, Italy. His main field of research is rheumatology and clinical immunology. He is particularly involved in translational research projects related to vitamin D's role in the immune system and the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis. During his internship, he also worked for one year at the Experimental Medicine and Rheumatology Department, Queen Mary University, London.
