Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is among the top 20 causes of death worldwide and affects approximately 10 of the world adult population. CKD is a disorder that disrupts normal kidney function. Due to the increasing number of people with CKD, effective prediction measures for the early diagnosis of CKD are required. The novelty of this study lies in developing the diagnosis system to detect chronic kidney diseases. This study assists experts in exploring preventive measures for CKD through early diagnosis using machine learning techniques. This study focused on evaluating a dataset collected from 400 patients containing 24 features. The mean and mode statistical analysis methods were used to replace the missing numerical and the nominal values. To choose the most important features, Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE) was applied. Four classification algorithms applied in this study were support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbors (KNN), decision tree, and random forest. All the classification algorithms achieved promising performance. The random forest algorithm outperformed all other applied algorithms, reaching an accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score of 100 for all measures. CKD is a serious life-threatening disease, with high rates of morbidity and mortality. Therefore, artificial intelligence techniques are of great importance in the early detection of CKD. These techniques are supportive of experts and doctors in early diagnosis to avoid developing kidney failure.
Currently, nearly two million patients die of gastrointestinal diseases worldwide. Video endoscopy is one of the latest technologies in the medical imaging field for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases, such as stomach ulcers, bleeding, and polyps. Medical video endoscopy generates many images, so doctors need considerable time to follow up all the images. This creates a challenge for manual diagnosis and has encouraged investigations into computer‐aided techniques to diagnose all the generated images in a short period and with high accuracy. The novelty of the proposed methodology lies in developing a system for diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases. This paper introduces three networks, GoogleNet, ResNet‐50, and AlexNet, which are based on deep learning and evaluates them for their potential in diagnosing a dataset of lower gastrointestinal diseases. All images are enhanced, and the noise is removed before they are inputted into the deep learning networks. The Kvasir dataset contains 5,000 images divided equally into five types of lower gastrointestinal diseases (dyed‐lifted polyps, normal cecum, normal pylorus, polyps, and ulcerative colitis). In the classification stage, pretrained convolutional neural network (CNN) models are tuned by transferring learning to perform new tasks. The softmax activation function receives the deep feature vector and classifies the input images into five classes. All CNN models achieved superior results. AlexNet achieved an accuracy of 97%, sensitivity of 96.8%, specificity of 99.20%, and AUC of 99.98%.
Network traffic analysis and predictions have become vital for monitoring networks. Network prediction is the process of capturing network traffic and examining it deeply to decide what is the occurrence in the network. The accuracy of analysis and estimation of network traffic are increasingly becoming significant in achieving guaranteed Quality of Service (QoS) in the network. The main aim of the presented research is to propose a new methodology to improve network traffic prediction by using sequence mining. The significance of this important topic lies in the urge to contribute to solving the research problem in network traffic prediction intelligently. We propose an integrated model that combines clustering with existing series models to enhance prediction the network traffic. Clustering granules are obtained using fuzzy c-means to analyze the network data for improving the existing time series. The novelty of the proposed research has used the clustering approach to handle the ambiguity from the entire network data for enhancing the existing time series models. Furthermore, we have suggested using the weighted exponential smoothing model as preprocessing stages for increasing the reliability of the proposed model. In this research paper, machine intelligence proposed to predict network traffic. The machine intelligence is working as pre-processing for enhancing the existing time series models. The machine intelligence combines non-crisp Fuzzy-C-Means (FCM) clustering and the weight exponential method for improving deep learning Long Short-Time Memory(LSTM)and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS)time series models. The ANFIS and LSMT time series models are applied to predict network traffic. Two real network traffic traces were conducted to test the proposed time series models. The empirical results of proposed to enhanced LSTM 97.95% and enhanced ANFIS model is R = 96.78% for cellular traffic data, with respect to the correlation indicator. It is observed that the proposed model outperforms alternative time series models. A comparative prediction results between the proposed model and existing time series models are presented. The comparisons indicate that the presented model outperforms the opponent models; the proposed method optimises the deep learning LSTM and ANFIS time series models. The proposed methodology offers more effective approach to the prediction of network traffic.
This paper explores the integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) into adaptive learning systems to create customized learning support aids for students with disabilities, as traditional educational aids commonly fail to meet the diversity in the needs of these learners, and generative AI has shown innovative solutions that can offer real-time adaptation to content with personalized learning experiences. This paper introduces ALGA-Ed, a novel adaptive learning system utilizing generative AI that includes (i) a user profile module that captures cognitive, sensory, and behavioral profiles; (ii) generative AI models that create personalized multimodal content in real-time; (iii) an adaptive feedback mechanism using reinforcement learning to adjust content delivery based on real-time engagement metrics dynamically; and (iv) a real-time monitoring system that tracks progress and adapts learning pathways accordingly. The framework leverages heterogeneous datasets, including real and synthetic data, to effectively address diverse disability profiles. Pilot studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the framework in improving participation, retention, and learning outcomes for students with disabilities. This study presents a novel methodology for automating the classification of pediatric ADHD using electroencephalogram (EEG) biomarkers through machine learning and deep learning techniques. The primary objective is to develop accurate EEG-based screening tools to aid clinical diagnosis and enable early intervention for ADHD. The proposed system utilizes a publicly available dataset consisting of raw EEG recordings from 61 individuals with ADHD and 60 control subjects during a visual attention task. The methodology involves meticulous preprocessing of raw EEG recordings to isolate brain signals and extract informative features, including time, frequency, and entropy signal characteristics. The feature selection techniques, including least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regularization and recursive elimination, were applied to identify relevant variables and enhance generalization. The obtained features are processed by employing various machine learning and deep learning algorithms, namely CatBoost, Random Forest Decision Trees, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), and Long Short-Term Memory Networks (LSTMs). The empirical results of the proposed algorithms highlight the effectiveness of feature selection approaches in matching informative biomarkers with optimal model classes. The convolutional neural network model achieves superior testing accuracy of 97.75% using LASSO-regularized biomarkers, underscoring the strengths of deep learning and customized feature optimization. The proposed framework advances EEG analysis to uncover discriminative patterns, significantly contributing to the field of ADHD screening and diagnosis. The suggested methodology achieved high performance compared with different existing systems based on AI approaches for diagnosing ADHD.
