I am a Hydraulic Engineer with a PhD in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering. My research field concerns the management and treatment of both urban and industrial wastewater. In particular, my studies seek to develop and optimize innovative solutions for the recovery of materials and energy to be introduced in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), in order to combine the concept of biorefinery with the wastewater treatment process.
