Information

Prof. Jean Louis Marty, D.Sc., graduated in 1973 as an Engineer of Biochemistry from the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon. He received a PhD Degree in Agrochemical Sciences in 1980 and his D.Sc. in 1987. Since 1993, he has been a full professor and began his research on biosensors at the University of Perpignan Via Domitia (France). He is involved in the development of biosensors in the environmental, agro-food, and medical fields. Many of his research works are devoted to enzyme sensors and immunosensors for the detection of marine and bacterial toxins, mycotoxins, and various substrates in the agro-food industry. His expertise also covers the functionalization of surfaces for the immobilization of biomolecules and the development of aptasensors for the detection of food and environmental contaminants. He initiated and maintains several collaborations with research groups all over the world.
