Prof. Dr. Paolo Martelletti, Director of the Advanced Course in Headache (LMICs) at Unitelma Sapienza University of Rome, is a Certified Full Professor of Internal Medicine. He has been an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Sapienza University, a Director of the Regional Reference Centre, a Director of Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine Clinical Area at University Hospital Sant'Andrea in Rome, and a Director of Master in Headache Medicine at Sapienza University (19 Editions). He is the past president of the European Headache Federation (EHF) and the past director (founding) of the EHF School of Advanced Studies. He is the Editor in Chief (Founding) of the Journal of Headache and Pain and SN Comprehensive Clinical Medicine. His research activities involved primary headaches, pain, clinical medicine, neuro-immunology of primary headaches, chronicization factors of headaches, rehabilitation protocols, guidelines for clinical and therapeutical aspects of primary headaches, public health issues and education in headache disorders, COVID-19, and vaccine issues in clinical medicine. He is the editor of the Headache Books Series, published by Springer (16 volumes), and the editor of a reference book in Headache and migraine and non-migraine headaches in Medicine, both machine-generated books (2 volumes).
