Prof. Csámpai is a professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. His research area extends to heterocyclic chemistry, organometallic chemistry of transition metals, NMR spectroscopy, stereochemistry, molecular modelling, antiproliferative compounds, cross-coupling reactions, and organocatalysis. In 2014, he received the Zemplén Géza Award from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 2023, he received the Kajtár-Hollósi Award from the Eötvös Loránd University. He is a member of the editorial board of Molecules, and he is currently guest editing the Special Issue Catalysis in Heterocyclic and Organometallic Synthesis II of Catalysts.
