Branka Salopek Sondi obtained a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the Faculty of Science, the University of Zagreb, in 2000. She is the Senior Scientist and Head of the Laboratory for Chemical Biology in the Department of Molecular Biology, Ruđer Bošković Institute, Zagreb, Croatia. Her topic of interest is abiotic stress response in plants, especially Brassicaceae, and she is particularly focused on the roles of bioactive molecules (plant hormones and specialized metabolites) in plant stress response.
