Sharon Vaisvaser, holds a PhD in neuroscience, specializing in stress, trauma, and resilience. She heads the M.A. Program in Dance/Movement Therapy at Ono Academic College and serves as an adjunct lecturer at Tel Aviv University. Her research integrates neuroscience, psychology, and psychotherapy, focusing on the neurodynamics of the embodied self, emotional memory, trauma and resilience, neuroaesthetics, and relational processes. Drawing on empirical neuroscience research, she integrates these insights within theoretical frameworks and clinical practice, advancing a brain-body-mind perspective on self-related experiences, disorders, as well as therapeutic change. Dr. Vaisvaser has published in leading journals across neuroscience, psychiatry, and psychology, and edited a special issue on Arts Therapies and Neuroscience. In addition to her academic work, she is a certified clinical supervisor and maintains an active clinical practice, working with diverse populations, including those affected by trauma, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental conditions.
