Dr. Panagiotis Sarkiris received his PhD in 2023 from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in collaboration with the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos". His doctoral research focused on the fabrication of superhydrophobic surfaces and the study of droplet dynamics to enhance heat transfer through sustained dropwise condensation. He also holds an MSc in Nanotechnology and Microsystems from NTUA, where he investigated the motion of droplets on micro/nano-textured superhydrophobic surfaces. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of the Aegean, where he works on the fabrication of scalable superhydrophobic surfaces for friction and drag reduction. Dr. Sarkiris has participated in nine national and European research projects and has received two scholarships for academic excellence. His current research interests include interfacial phenomena, fluid dynamics, micro/nano fabrication, thin films, and nanometrology.
