Dr. Niyi G. Olaiya is a Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts Lowell with dual PhDs in Mechanical Engineering (Additive Manufacturing) and Advanced Composite Manufacturing. He brings over a decade of teaching and research experience in polymer composites, natural fiber biocomposites, and sustainable manufacturing technologies. A former university lecturer, Dr. Olaiya has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science and presented at numerous international conferences. He has contributed to research funded by REMADE (USA), ACU (UK), and FRGS (Malaysia) and has developed innovations in biopolymers for packaging and biomedical use. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst, and a PRiSM v8 Sustainable Project Management Practitioner. His recognitions include the Excellence PhD Thesis Award, Graduate on Time Award, and Excellence Publication Awards (2022–2024) from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He is a member of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, the Project Management Institute (Canada), and several professional engineering bodies globally.
