Clarifying the regional transmission mechanism of COVID-19 has practical significance for effective protection. Taking 103 county-level regions of Hubei Province as an example, and taking the fastest-spreading stage of COVID-19, which lasted from 29 January 2020, to 29 February 2020, as the research period, we systematically analyzed the population migration, spatio-temporal variation pattern of COVID-19, with emphasis on the spatio-temporal differences and scale effects of related factors by using the daily sliding, time-ordered data analysis method, combined with extended geographically weighted regression (GWR). The results state that: Population migration plays a two-way role in COVID-19 variation. The emigrants’ and immigrants’ population of Wuhan city accounted for 3.70% and 73.05% of the total migrants’ population respectively; the restriction measures were not only effective in controlling the emigrants, but also effective in preventing immigrants. COVID-19 has significant spatial autocorrelation, and spatio-temporal differentiation has an effect on COVID-19. Different factors have different degrees of effect on COVID-19, and similar factors show different scale effects. Generally, the pattern of spatial differentiation is a transitional pattern of parallel bands from east to west, and also an epitaxial radiation pattern centered in the Wuhan 1 + 8 urban circle. This paper is helpful to understand the spatio-temporal evolution of COVID-19 in Hubei Province, so as to provide a reference for similar epidemic prevention.
This study investigates the dynamic changes in wheat canopy spectral characteristics across seven critical growth stages (Tillering, Pre-Jointing, Jointing, Post-Jointing, Booting, Flowering, and Ripening) using UAV-based multispectral remote sensing. By analyzing four key spectral bands—green (G), red (R), red-edge (RE), and near-infrared (NIR)—and their combinations, we identify spectral features that reflect changes in canopy activity, health, and structure. Results show that the green band is highly sensitive to chlorophyll activity and low canopy coverage during the Tillering stage, while the NIR band captures structural complexity and canopy density during the Jointing and Booting stages. The combination of G and NIR bands reveals increased canopy density and spectral concentration during the Booting stage, while the RE band effectively detects plant senescence and reduced spectral uniformity during the ripening stage. Time-series analysis of spectral data across growth stages improves the accuracy of growth stage identification, with dynamic spectral changes offering insights into growth inflection points. Spatially, the study demonstrates the potential for identifying field-level anomalies, such as water stress or disease, providing actionable data for targeted interventions. This comprehensive spatio-temporal monitoring framework improves crop management and offers a cost-effective, precise solution for disease prediction, yield forecasting, and resource optimization. The study paves the way for integrating UAV remote sensing into precision agriculture practices, with future research focusing on hyperspectral data integration to enhance monitoring models.
Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) plays a pivotal role in modern agriculture by capturing fine-grained spectral signatures that support crop classification, health assessment, and land-use monitoring. However, the transition from raw spectral data to reliable semantic understanding remains challenging—particularly under fragmented planting patterns, spectral ambiguity, and spatial heterogeneity. To address these limitations, we propose UniHSFormer-X, a unified transformer-based framework that reconstructs agricultural semantics through prototype-guided token routing and hierarchical context modeling. Unlike conventional models that treat spectral–spatial features uniformly, UniHSFormer-X dynamically modulates information flow based on class-aware affinities, enabling precise delineation of field boundaries and robust recognition of spectrally entangled crop types. Evaluated on three UAV-based benchmarks—WHU-Hi-LongKou, HanChuan, and HongHu—the model achieves up to 99.80% overall accuracy and 99.28% average accuracy, outperforming state-of-the-art CNN, ViT, and hybrid architectures across both structured and heterogeneous agricultural scenarios. Ablation studies further reveal the critical role of semantic routing and prototype projection in stabilizing model behavior, while parameter surface analysis demonstrates consistent generalization across diverse configurations. Beyond high performance, UniHSFormer-X offers a semantically interpretable architecture that adapts to the spatial logic and compositional nuance of agricultural imagery, representing a forward step toward robust and scalable crop classification.
This study investigated the spatiotemporal evolution and coupling relationship of land use carbon effects driven by new quality productive forces (NQPF) in Hubei Province, China, using remote sensing data (2000–2020) and socioeconomic statistics (2005–2020). An NQPF evaluation system comprising 19 indicators across three dimensions was constructed using a combined weighting method integrating entropy, coefficient of variation, CRITIC, and principal component analysis. The Tapio decoupling model and Moran’s I spatial autocorrelation were employed to examine the NQPF-carbon emission relationship. Results indicated that: (1) Net carbon emissions increased from 4118.38 × 104 t to 19,867.15 × 104 t (382.4% growth), with construction land contributing 98.1% of total carbon sources by 2020. (2) The NQPF index rose from 0.152 to 0.860 (465.8% growth), with the “new objects of labor” dimension receiving the highest weight (0.5921), corroborating the green development-oriented nature of NQPF. (3) All three periods exhibited “weak decoupling,” with elasticity coefficients declining from 0.740 to 0.261, indicating strengthening carbon constraints. (4) No significant spatial clustering was detected (|Z|< 1.96); riverside cities (Wuhan, Xiangyang, Yichang) formed “isolated high-emission centers” accounting for 54.2% of provincial emissions. This study pioneers the integration of NQPF theory into land use carbon research, providing scientific basis for regional low-carbon transition in central China.
