Prof. Jie Lin received a BS, an MS, and a PhD from Nanjing Forestry University in 1999, 2002, and 2011, respectively. From 2011 to 2012, she worked as a visiting scholar at the University of New Hampshire, USA. She joined Nanjing Forestry University in 2002 and is now a professor in the Department of Soil and Water Conservation. Prof. Lin is the Secretary General of Jiangsu Soil and Water Conservation Society, a member of the Soil and Water Conservation Committee of China Forestry Society, and a director of the Southern Soil and Water Conservation Society. Her research interests include remote sensing monitoring of soil erosion; soil erosion and carbon cycle; forestry ecological engineering; and ecological restoration of saline-alkali
land.
