Prof. Dr. Hyokyung Bahn is currently a professor of computer science and engineering at Ewha University, Seoul. He received the BS, MS, and PhD degrees in computer science from Seoul National University in 1997, 1999, and 2002, respectively. He has published more than 180 papers in leading conferences and journals, including USENIX FAST, IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and ACM Transactions on Storage. He also received the Best Paper Award at the USENIX FAST in 2013. His research interests include operating systems, memory and storage systems, real-time embedded systems, and system optimizations.
