Dr Janice Denoncourt (BA McGill, LLB Western Australia, PhD Nottingham, SFHEA, GAICD, Orcid: 0000-0003-2176-8935) is Associate Professor of Law at Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University. She is the author of Intellectual Property, Finance and Corporate Governance (2018, 2020) a monograph entered into the UK REF 2021. She became an academic following a legal professional career as in-house counsel for a publicly listed company. Her areas of expertise include intellectual property, intangibles assets, finance, corporate governance and emerging technology law. Janice has been appointed for a 3-year term to the Academic Advisory Group (AAG) of the inaugural UKEB to provide specialist legal and corporate governance knowledge, thought leadership and technical advice on intellectual property rights and intangibles to the UKEB’s accounting standards research agenda and programme. She has also been a Director of the Intellectual Property Awareness Network (IPAN), a London-based independent think tank since 2020.
