I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel/Brazil) in 2003, my Master’s in Organic Chemistry in 2005, and my Ph.D. in Science/Organic Chemistry in 2008 from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM/Brazil) under the supervision of Prof. Marcos Antônio Pinto Martins. Later, I worked as a Research Scientist at the Prati Donaduzzi Pharmaceutical Industry (2008-2010) in Brazil. In 2011 I started my independent academic research career as a Professor of Chemistry at the Departament of Chemistry at the State University of Maringá (UEM), Brazil. I have published several research papers throughout my career and received the RSC/BMOS Early Career Investigator Award (2022). My expertise lies in Organic Synthesis, and Medicinal Chemistry, acting mainly on the developing methodologies for synthesizing of nitrogen-heterocyclic compounds and their application in drug discovery.
