A. Prof. Anamarija Petek Erić, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor and specialist psychiatrist, subspecialist in biological and forensic psychiatry, and a permanent court expert in psychiatry. She is Head of the Department of Acute and Biological Psychiatry with Intensive Care at the University Hospital Centre Osijek and faculty member at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Osijek, Croatia. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Osijek among the top 10% of her class and obtained her PhD in 2017 with a dissertation on personality traits and suicidality in affective disorders. Her clinical and research work focuses on biological psychiatry, neurostimulation methods, psychopharmacology, suicidology, and forensic psychiatry. She has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, including in Psychiatria Danubina, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, and Frontiers in Public Health. She serves as a reviewer for several international journals and is a member of the Croatian Psychiatric Association, European Psychiatric Association, and European College of Neuropsychopharmacology. Her work has been recognized with multiple national and international awards, including the ECNP Seminar Award and the Weill Cornell Medicine/OMI Award for Academic Excellence
