Prof. Dr. Paola Palmero received her PhD Degree in Materials Science and Technology from the Politecnico di Torino in 2005, and she is a full Professor in the Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT) of the Politecnico di Torino and a member of the Interdepartmental Center SISCON—Safety of Infrastructures and Constructions. She received the Excellence Award in 2016 for her contribution to the field of Materials in Medicine, conferred by the Romanian Society of Biomaterials. Her research interests include 3D printing, Bioceramics, Carbon capture and storage, Ceramics and composites, Functionally graded materials, Geopolymers, Materials engineering, Porous ceramics and materials, and Stereolithography.
