Mingshi Li is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Forestry of Nanjing Forestry University. He was a visiting scholar at the Department of Geographic Sciences at the University of Maryland in 2013 and he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the EROS Data Center at the U.S. Geological Survey in 2006 through 2008. His research interests largely revolve around the application of remote sensing and geographic information systems in the mapping of forest structure parameters.
